Item Description
8.5" dia. 1930s by Noble & Cooley who produced many different Mickey toy instruments. We have seen this drum in three sizes and this is the largest version, 14" dia. and 6.75" tall. Tin litho body with linen-like fabric drum heads. Nice wrap-around scene featuring Mickey and Minnie, Donald, Horace, Clarabelle and Pluto who has a large "Mickey Mouse Band" drum strapped to his back. Has original string binding and die-cut leather accent pieces. Drum heads have moderate dust soiling/aging with some moisture marks but no tears/splits. Top/bottom rims have wear to the silver luster and a few indents. Illustrated body shows only light wear/aging. Overall Fine. Scarce. From the Michael J. Stern Collection.
