7.5" tall tin litho. Unmarked but English and 1930s. Wonderful wrap-around scene featuring cartoonish art of natives chasing after animals. These include lions, giraffe, hippo, snake, zebra, ostrich, elephant, monkey and others. Also among the animals is an unauthorized Mickey Mouse image, he is shown running and wearing traditional red pants and shoes. The natives are shown with spears and shields. The unusual combination of images includes cactus among the jungle landscape and in the background are three teepees and an adobe hut. Top rim has lip for apparent lid but no lid is present. All over moderate wear and aging both inside and out. Interior has some surface oxidation. Outside has numerous paint nicks and scratches as well as indents. Appearance remains bright and glossy with great color. VG. First we've seen in our 45 years.
