Item Description
First is .75" campaign button from 1904 reading "Washington/Roosevelt/Party." Essentially Mint and complete with W&H back paper. Second is 7/8" with no maker name or back paper reading "Are You Pledged For Roosevelt Highway." This relates to Route 6 which extends from Provincetown, Mass westward which became known as the "Roosevelt Highway" as various sections were built in the 1920s and 1930s extending the road across the continent to Bishop, CA and then south to Long Beach. The name faded from usage beginning in the 1940s and into the 1950s. Scarce and N. Mint, displays Mint. Pair.
