Item Description
Each is 6-3/8x9.25" with 144 pages. Vol. 6 #1 issue for July has cover art by Andrew Brosnatch showing man in horse-drawn sleigh on snowy field in moonlight being attacked by wolves done as illustration for story "The Werewolf Of Ponkert" by H. Warner Munn. Issues includes Robert E. Howard's first published story "Spear And Fang." Other authors include H.P. Lovecraft, E. Hoffmann Price and Seabury Quinn. Whole book is missing 1" diagonal piece at lower right, bottom edge of front cover is heavily worn and covers have some creasing with a few moisture marks on back cover. Inside pages lightly but evenly tanned, though not brittle. Overall Good/VG. Oct. issue has front cover art by Andrew Brosnatch showing giant flea chasing dog for story by J.U. Giesy "The Wicked Flea." Other authors include Seabury Quinn, E. Hoffmann Price, and Frank Owen. Entire right side of book is missing .5" piece, covers have moderate to heavy dust soil with bit of edge wear at top. Inside pages lightly but evenly tanned, though not brittle. Despite missing edge, there is no missing text. Overall Good. Two extremely scarce issues especially considering the July issue has first published stories by Robert Howard and H. Warner Munn.
