16.25x22" shrink-wrapped paper poster has choice graphics at top with the Lone Ranger on Silver with his lasso going around text "Hi-Yo Silver Has A Son!" with art image at right of young white horse looking at viewer. Bold text in center "Name Him And Win This Colt Or One Thousand Dollars In Cash" with 150 additional prizes including "50 Schwinn-Built Deluxe Bicycles Or Underwood Deluxe Leader Typewriters (Your Choice)/1000 Ever Ready Camp-Type Flashlights." Contest was sponsored by Kix cereal and each entry had to include a Kix cereal box top. Contest ended Saturday, Aug. 30th, 1941, although Lone Ranger image at upper left is ©1938 T.L.R. Inc. Poster has die-cut hole in each corner as made for store display, lower right has pencil price of 20¢ for two packages. Poster has vertical and horizontal hairline folds through center as issued. Image area displays bright and VF+. Hake's Official Price Guide to Pop Culture Memorabilia book notes this is the rarest of all the contest posters with less than five known. Poster is listed at $3000.00 in fine condition and $5000.00 in near mint condition. This particular poster is the example shown in the book. An incredible Lone Ranger display item. Great design and superb graphics.
