Item Description
7.75x11" paper folder depicts the Boy Commandos charging into battle with squadron of fighter planes flying overhead. ©1944 Detective Comics Inc. Folder has four pages but only printed with Ashcan cover which was used by DC Comics to secure the trademark for the title in December 1944. This particular title was never produced as a complete Ashcan or comic. The cover art was eventually used on "Boy Commandos" #1 and was also featured on eight different Ashcan covers. Less than ten copies of this Ashcan cover are known to exist. Very lightly but evenly tanned. Exc appearance. Rare.
