Item Description
Monthly issue published by National Allied Newspaper Syndicate Inc. which became DC Comics. Pulp writer Malcolm Wheeler-Nicholson was editor and publisher. Associate editors were Vincent Sullivan and Whitney Elsworth who would go on to greater fame as editors of DC Comics. Front cover art is by Whitney Elsworth w/kids boxing and having knocked each other out as referee scratches his head. Contains all original non-reprint material including wonderful "Federal Men The Invisible Empire" story w/outer space and robot theme w/some people in costume resembling early images of Superman. Most of contents are 2 page humor or serious stories in black and white of full color. Artists include Fleming, Elven, Elsworth, Ryan, Carney and Alter. Cover is coming loose at spine area, some lt. cover creasing, pages are a bit fragile. Cover overall Good. Contents Good/VG. Listed in Overstreet at $614.00 in Good. Historic pre-DC Comic.
