Item Description
Smallest item is 1.5” tall “War Service 1945” award picturing Ike and with text “Boy Scout Gen. Eisenhower Waste Paper Campaign.” Medal is gold toned aluminum. Reverse text notes “Awarded For Extraordinary Patriotic Achievement…” St. dust on the cloth hanger and there is no reverse pin. Next is green ribbon with loop holding scout emblem over a large letter “V.” This is marked on the reverse “1/20 10k GF.” Next is blue cloth ribbon badge with copper toned medal featuring illustration and text “Knot Tying.” Small luster off the back which includes scout emblem. Next is red/yellow ribbon badge with brass medal reading “This Scout Has Walked Lincoln’s Trail” surrounding image of Lincoln reading a book by firelight. Reverse marked “Presented To (blank) By Indiana Historical Society.” Next is ribbon badge showing Washington next to a boy scout with caption “Valley Forge Trail.” Reverse reads “Valley Forge Council B.S.A.” Next is “Be Prepared” award badge with small wire knot suspended from hanger. Second is similar to preceding although stamped “Sterling” on the reverse and ribbon has small pinned-on palm leaf. Last are 3 medals of basically similar design although all in different metallic colors and with different ribbons. The middle one has a scout emblem stamped on the reverse while the other 2 have blank reverses. Very lt. dust soil on the white areas of these 2 ribbons but minor. Overall an interesting group in VF or better condition.
