Item Description
First is boxed Castile soap by Lightfoot Schultz Co. c. 1938. 2.5” tall figural soap comes in original box designed as Pluto’s dog house with text on sides “Mickey Mouse’s Pal Pluto.” Box has moderate aging, edge wear including small tears/creases around opening. Soap aged with small traces of paint wear and some hairlines/seam separations but all remains firmly intact and structurally sound. Both items VG/Fine. Second is 4x7.5” “Sunoco W Oil” ink blotter. c. 1940. Title reads “Flows..Even Below Zero” and an excited Pluto dressed for the weather wags his tail and knocks over a bottle of oil as he looks at a thermometer which registers a temperature just below zero. Service station imprint at bottom center. Exc. Third is 5.25” tall Kohner push puppet. Wood with oilcloth ears and plastic base. 1950s. Works well, moves about, mouth opens and a loud squeaking (barking) noise is produced. Exc. Nice lot. From the Deak Stagemyer Collection.
