Item Description
This children’s book series was created by Georges Remi writing under the pen name Herge, first published in French in 1929. This tab, 1” dia. and with unbent stem, was produced when the books were translated to English beginning in 1958 and marketed under the Golden Books imprint of Western Publishing. Tab has minor glue traces on its reverse as it was once held on a velvet board in the Green Duck Button Co. archive. Their name appears at the top of the stem. Front of the piece displays essentially Mint and comes with Hake’s COA. Only example we’ve seen.
