Item Description
We’ve seen 2 examples of this design without any text and 2 examples with store names plus this third with the text “Meet Me At Abele’s Store.” Button features humorous depiction of Santa’s red pants, legs and boots sticking out of red brick chimney with a yellow moon face positioned between his legs against a nighttime sky. Complete with reverse backpaper by Keystone Badge, Reading with design used only 1902-1914. Button has 1/8” dia. area on left gray bkg. and small area around the last 2 words of the inscription where there is a little air under the cello. The bkg. dot is barely detectable and the edge mark shows only slightly and both are as the button was produced. Cello surface remains N. Mint and button displays basically Mint as made. All examples without stain have exceeded $400 and averaged over $500. Rare.
