Item Description
Lot of two, both from the early 1970s, Japan and working. Each comes in nicely illustrated box. First is 7.5” long “Comic Hungry Bug Smoking Volkswagen” by Tora. Version with solid trunk rather than one that lights up (as shown on the box lid). Works with bump-and-go action, automatic stop-and-go, engine sound and smoke comes from exhaust pipe. Detailed with “VW” stickers and “Firestone” tires. Second is 9.75” long “VW-Police Car” by Taiyo. Works with non-fall and bump-and-go action, blinking roof light and produces a realistic siren sound. Detailed with “VW” logos and “Police” stickers. Lt. box wear. Fine/VF while both cars are N. Mint.
