Item Description
3.5” of Carter in farm overalls with peanuts falling from a hole in his sack labeled “Jimmy In 1980.” To the left Ted Kennedy in coat and tie rides the Democratic donkey and holds his “Teddy For President” sign. Carter applies a whip to the donkey and his cartoon balloon reads “If Kennedy Runs…I’ll Whip His Ass!” This famous quotation “I’ll Whip His Ass” was uttered by Carter to a group of Congressmen at a White House dinner in June, 1979 when Carter was asked what would happen if Senator Kennedy ran against him in the upcoming election. Essentially Mint as made.
