Item Description
6” tall marked “Japan.” 1930s. Mickey is depicted in striped pants and wears a derby. Has spring coil arms and tail. One hand depicted with fingers spread out while the other depicts Mickey pointing with his index finger. Has a number of indents including on face under nose, backs of ears and backs of shoes. Back of head also has small air hole as made. Minor 1/8” hairline on wrist of one hand. None of these defects are really distracting and still quite impressive in its design and bright coloring. Fine. Among the most unusual Mickey celluloid figures we’ve seen. From the Michael J. Stern Collection.
