Item Description
These 3 watch fobs are each made of a translucent amber-colored material with some resemblance to tortoise shell. The TR and Taft pieces are listed in Hake while the Wilson is unlisted. The TR piece is more a caricature than a portrait and features him in Rough Rider hat with crossed sabers on the upturned brim. He is depicted with rhinestone eyes and 4 rhinestones for teeth. Text reads “For President Our Teddy.” Couple tiny dots of gold color off his hat and one collar but about 95% color remains. Taft reads “Wm. Taft For President” and the slogan is accented by 6 rhinestones placed around the outer edge. One stone is a little darker than it should be. Small paint loss on his chin and lower left neck area. Still about 95% color remaining. The Wilson piece reads “For President W. Wilson.” Again, the perimeter is accented by 6 rhinestones. Almost all color is intact. The reverse of each piece is blank except for stamped-in inscription in capital letters “18 K. GOLD INLAID.” As far as we know, this is the only time a complete set has been offered. Rare.
