Item Description
This amazing piece is unlisted in DeWitt and Hake. It is a 1/16” thick cross section of a walnut shell measuring 1” across and 1-1/8” tall including the movable brass loop at the top for attachment to a chain. The shell has 2 tiny cracks, each under 1/16”, at the lower left of the Grant side but the exact cut of the cardboard photo and the tension at the edges holds the photo in place unless pressure is applied to make it pop out. Tiny general age on the photo images. Both portraits are quite strong and clean. Only example we’ve seen.
