Item Description
First is 16x33.5” 1951 calendar. Full calendar pad includes Dec. of 1950. Original attached tag at top under metal support strip reads “The Story Of Angry Bull – Mighty Blackfeet Hunter, Appears Beneath The Calendar Pad As A Permanent Reference.” Angry Bull is identified under full color illustration of him done by Winold Reiss. This calendar was offered as a souvenir of the railway and story beneath pad explains that 80-year-old Angry Bull was still alive and greeting passengers upon their arrival to Glacier National Park in Montana. Calendar has been rolled. Original support metal strips appear at top and bottom along with hanging hole at top center. Very little wear. Color remains bright and bold. An impressive illustrations. Calendar is Exc. Lot also includes 3.5x8” “First Call For Dinner” 16-page illustrated children’s book. c. 1920s premium from Great Northern Railway. Book text is extensive poem about food and travel along with many anthropomorphic illustrations of fruits and vegetables. Lt. trace of wear. Fine.
