10.25x13” image area. 20x16” mat. Matted and captioned by the original collector who presented this as part of a traveling editorial cartoon exhibition. Signed and dated by the artist on lower right. Pen and ink on artboard. Attached to back is clipping of the printed cartoon from the Ohio State Journal dated March 5, 1940. A chubby lad labeled "Federal Spending" demands "More" and holds soup bowl reading "Income Tax Deadline March 15." Meanwhile a chef "Tax Payer" tries to get "The Family Pocketbook" over a campfire to produce "More." Bright, clean and Exc.
