Lot of eight 12x17.75” hardcover books containing bw artwork of Gibson, well-known for his detailed and realistic “Gibson Girls.” Titles include: “Drawings” (1894), “Pictures Of People” (1896), “London” (1897), “Sketches And Cartoons” (1898), “The Education Of Mr. Pipp” (1899), “A Widow And Her Friends” (1901), “The Social Ladder” (1902) and “Every Day People” (1904). All but “London” and “Everyday People” were published by R.H. Russell & Son, remaining 2 books were published by Charles Scribner’s Sons. Varying degrees of handling wear, most show aging/dust soiling along margins with edge and corner tip wear. Cloth spine bindings show moderate aging, a few with moisture staining. Overall, books are Fine with VF/Exc. pages, some showing margin aging. An instant collection.
