Item Description
2.5x3-7/8” stiff paper membership card for 1938-1939 is marked with typed “Producers Branch” active member notation and Pickford’s membership #3. Pickford, a noted actor, was also the co-founder of United Artist Film Studio and one of the original 36 founders of the Academy Of Motion Picture Arts And Sciences. Her influence in the development of acting is felt to this day and she is remembered as one of silent films’ most important performers and producers. The American Film Institute named her 24th among the greatest female stars of all time. Reverse of card has Pickford’s typed name though it is unsigned. Still, Pickford’s personal card. Lt. handling wear. Exc.
