5.5x8.25” with 249 pages. First edition published by Grosset & Dunlap. Novelized by Delos W. Lovelace, based on an idea by Edgar Wallace and Merian C. Cooper. This novelization was based on a screenplay for the 1933 RKO picture “King Kong” written by James Creelman and Ruth Rose and was released prior to the film’s 1933 release. End papers featuring browntone photo images from the film including nice shot of King Kong towering over New York City skyline and images of Fay Wray with natives. Some scattered lt. insect damage to clothbound covers with wear at corners. VG with lightly tanned but Exc. pages.
