5.25x8.25” invitation “Cordially Invites Mr. Mack Sennett And Guest To Attend Its Fifth Annual ‘Milestone’ Dinner Honoring Mr. Walt Disney.” Dinner took place Feb. 17, 1957 in the Grand Ballroom Suite of the Beverly-Hilton Hotel. This formal dinner required reservations and $15.00 per person (not including bar). Sennett, an Academy Award-winning director, is noted for his innovations in slapstick comedy and was the founder of Keystone Studios, noted for starting the careers of Charlie Chaplin, Gloria Swanson, The Keystone Cops, Bing Crosby and W.C. Fields. Sennett’s name has been inked on front of invitation. Scattered handling wear/aging with some dust soiling to front of invitation. VF.
