Item Description
2.5x3-7/8” membership card for 1940s comic book club. Red Spy Smasher image in bkg. of card with line for member’s signature (which has been filled in in ink) and “Is A Senior Member Of The Spy Smasher Victory Battalion Aiming To Fight Espionage, Battle Sabotage And Defend America.” Card has facsimile Spy Smasher signature with “Hero Of Spy Smasher And Whiz Comics” text below. Reverse of card is blank. Lt. wear/aging with .25x.5” piece of tape in upper left corner. VF. While the club button is readily available, this matching card is very rare and we believe it to be only the second we’ve ever offered in our 42 years. Card shown in Spy Smasher pressbook item #2042.
