Item Description
Six portraits within 4" dia. brass rims. Depicted are Emerson, Bryant, (Oliver Wendell) Holmes, Longfellow, Liszt and Mozert, each w/name along bottom edge. Back of each is covered w/black cardboard. Each reverse once held small cardboard easel but only one remains and is detached. Each also has small brass hanging ring sewn by black thread to top back edge, three are intact. On Bryant, ring is here but loose and on Emerson and Liszt ring is gone. Each back is missing about 20% black surface paper. Fronts are overall extremely clean but w/narrow 2" stain line which blends on bottom edge of Emerson and w/narrow 2" line of stain on far right edge of Liszt. This one also has three small dents on brass rim and some luster loss. St. luster loss on Bryant and Holmes. Overall VF w/beautiful colors. c. 1900 and rare. Only examples we've seen.
