Item Description
8x16x2” deep box contains complete and unused set by Alps of Japan. c. 1950s. Right side end panel of box lid has 3” tear and 1x1.5” piece missing. Box shows handling wear with creases at edges. Fine overall. Nicely designed set is all tin litho. Consists of 7” long “Union Pacific” locomotive, 4” long freight car, loading and unloading platform and 3 steel pipes marked “A.B.C. Steel Co.” Also included in set is 4 straight track sections. Toy works, locomotive and car travel back and forth to unload and reload pipes. N. Mint, old store stock.
