Item Description
16.5x16.7x1” deep box contains parts for McLoughlin Bros. game. ©1904. Box lid has wonderful colorful label which shows young boy heading home from a day of hunting, his rifle over his shoulder, his dog running beside him, his day’s catch over his arm including 2 types of game birds, a duck and rabbit. Box lid has .75x6” piece missing from top side panel and scattered age spotting. Lid label, while having age spotting still remains quite displayable and Fine. Box tray makes up gameboard with 3.75x3.75” square opening at center which is covered by upside-down spinner. This area serves as box to hold game pieces which include 9 of 16 thin cardboard double-sided disks, each 1.25” dia. and showing different type of game and point value. Depicted are woodcock, bobwhite quail, rabbit, duck. These disks show some mild to moderate wear and are Fine overall. Also comes with 3 of 4 cast metal playing pieces that measure 1.25” long and depict dogs (one is missing tail). Board itself features great outdoor scenes and has die-cut slots to place game disks. Gameboard still displays VF. Great graphics.
