7.75" tall pail w/handle and 7.5" dia. lid for "Li'l Abner Drive-Ins." .25" hole at center of lid, pail was used to transport take-out food. Side panels have illustrations of Li'l Abner and Daisy Mae w/Salomey the Pig running at lead, closely followed by Mammy and Pappy Yokum, Marryin' Sam, Moonbeam McSwine, Hairless Joe, others. Text balloon states the merits of the restaurant. Art by Al Capp ©UFS c. 1960s. Lt. wear, a few streaks of bare metal showing at rim. VF. Comes w/8.25x14" menu for "Li'l Abner's" restaurant in Morton Grove, Ill. Abner is depicted on front cover wandering down path carrying extremely large hamburger and milkshake. Al Capp name and "UFS" at lower right. Menu opens to 14x21" and has bw illustrations of Li'l Abner characters including Abner, Mammy and Pappy Yokum, Daisy Mae, Salomey, others and lists such Abner specialties as the "Honest Abe Burger, Yokumburger, Salomey Dog, Li'l Abner's Speshul Pride Steak, Po'k Chop Platter, Haystack Salad, Mammy Yokum's Bean Pot Platter, Earthquake McGoon Shakes, Stupefyin' Jones Sundaes."
