This "Strange Case Of Dr. Jekyll And Mr. Hyde" by Robert Louis Stevenson is M-G-M movie edition based on film starring Spencer Tracy, Ingrid Bergman and Lana Turner. Grosset & Dunlap. 1941. 5.5x8.25" w/236 pages. Just Stevenson text version, not earlier Frederic March Photoplay edition. Scarce dust jacket pictures Tracy on front as Jekyll w/leering image of Hyde behind him. Jacket shows moderate wear w/.5" chip missing out of top of spine and .25-.5" tears at spine. .75" and 2" tear on back of jacket. VG. Book itself is Exc. 5.25x7.75" novelization of 1944 Boris Karloff film "The Climax." Published by Books Inc. under their "A Midnite Mystery" series. Original dust jacket shows photo image of a menacing Karloff reaching toward throat of female co-star Susanna Foster. Age fading to spine, lt. wear at corners. Dust jacket is Fine/VF overall. Book is Exc. 5.75x8.25" "Tales Of Terror" hardcover features introduction by Boris Karloff who is featured in bw photo on cover. Published by The World Publishing Co. under their "Tower Mystery" series in 1943. Dust jacket shows wear at top and bottom of spine, 2" crease on front cover. Fine. Book is Exc.
