Item Description
22.5x28" frame contains original pen and ink art by Clifford McBride that has been matted to 16.75x22". Art is for Nov. 6, 1938 strip and has Arthur J. Lafave copyright paste-over in last panel, w/McBride's signature. 11-panel story (including title bar) involves McBride's canine creation and his owner's attempts at trying to take home movie footage of him, only to be thwarted by a goat, who rams his behind, breaking the movie camera. McBride has signed this last panel in orange pencil "To Murray Harris With Lots Of Luck From Napoleon And Clifford McBride." Murray Harris was a longtime noted collector of original comic art. Exc.
