Item Description
Pair, each about 5.75x20" on thin artboard with 4 panels of original pen and ink art. By Wally Bishop © Central Press Association Inc. First strip is entitled "A Cat-Nap!". Strip deals with Muggs McGinnis waking up from nightmare to tell his sister his nightmare was about their cat catching Mickey Mouse. This causes a rather surprised reaction from his sister. Strip ran Jun. 6, 1934. Second daily shows Muggs talking with friend who has new dog, criticizing his name of "Fido" to which his friend reveals dog's name is spelled "P-H-Y-D-E-A-U!!" Strip ran Sep. 24, 1935. Both strips have title and author paste-overs at top and each is signed in black ink by Bishop in last panels. First strip shows moderate aging, Fine. Second strip shows lt. aging and handling wear with pinholes at margins, VF.
