29" long. Early 1930s. U.S.S. Akron was a rigid helium-filled airship of the U.S. Navy that crashed off the N.J. coast early on April 4, 1933 killing 73 crew and passengers. See next item #857. Lt. crease, paint crack on letters "E" and "T." Not faded as is often the case. VF.
