Item Description
Lot consists of two matching sets of painted diecast ranging in size from 5.75" long for the engine, 4.5" long average for the cars and 3" long for the cabooses. 8.25x11.5x1.5" deep box has noticeable wear including 4" split along front edge, obvious edge wear along all other edges and dust soiling, small puncture mark and small 1x1" stain on lid. Original bottom has splits along two corners. Good. There are two sets of eight matching pieces for a total of 16 pieces as follows: combined engine and coal car marked "Pennsylvania," pair of tank cars marked "Borden's Milk Tank Car," pair of flatbeds w/log loads, pair of derrick cars, pair of cattle cars marked "Pioneer Stock Shippers," pair of boxcars marked "Southern Fruit Growers Express" as well as having the "Union Pacific System" logo on them, two open hopper cars w/cast-in loads, pair of cabooses marked "Tootsietoy RR 4697." All cars have some play wear w/a few pinpoint paint nicks and chips, mostly noticeable on roofs and tops of cars. One of the two Borden tank cars has some paper residue adhered to top and sides, and the other Borden car has moderate paint wear to the round cap of the tank car. Overall sets grade Fine and make a nice display.
