Item Description
7.5" tall tin litho with 3x3.75x1.5" deep tin litho battery box. By Masudaya, 1950s, Japan. Toy works and travels about as arms move and light in helmet glows. Toy also has retractable antenna. Toy has nice lithography with equipment belt with hanging rope on chest and separate air tanks on back marked "Space 27." Separate battery box has nice image on lid of spaceman traveling across planet surface with rocketship in bkg. Clear plastic visor insert of helmet has slightly warped, barely visible from the front. Toy has scratches on chest, some missing paint on inside of arms. Battery box has some scratches and small areas of missing paint. Battery box is clean however inside of lid has 1.5x1" area of light oxidation. Wires leading from battery box to toy also have small professional repair. Still a nice toy for display and grades Fine.
