Item Description
6.75x10.5x3.75" deep painted plaster depicting Popeye's occassional nemesis, Alice the Goon. Incised name on reverse. c. 1940s. Recessed area in back to hold string. Hole in mouth. Wire hanger at top as made. String holder shows Alice in her flowered hat. Light aging and dust soiling. Exc. Rare. We have offered an Alice the Goon carnival statue a few times but this is the first string holder we have seen. Very impressive.
