Item Description
In our 41 years, we have only offered this toy one other time but that boat was red and this is the first we've offered this green colored variety. 1930s. Wood boat is 11" long and has a removable 4" tall Mickey figure. Front of boat is marked "Mickey Mouse 28." Original pull cord with wood knob is attached. Mickey is designed with holes in hands to hold the oars although the oars themselves, while they match nicely in color/design, are replacements and do not fit his hands. Also missing a pair of metal loops to hold the oars in place as well as a cover/seat from the back of the boat behind where Mickey sits. This cover is generic wood so it, along with the loops, could be easily replaced. Mickey has peg on rear end which attaches to his seat which is here. Mickey is complete with cardboard ears and chest decal. Moderate scattered paint wear to face and back of head but very little wear to the rest of the figure. Boat has moderate wear/aging both inside and out. Overall still VG/Fine. From the Michael J. Stern Collection.
