Item Description
Batman measures 6.75" tall and is ceramic variety, Robin is 6-5/8" tall and is composition variety. Each bank was produced in both ceramic and composition. Both have name decals on front of bases which are 100% complete. Original rubber traps on underside, which have remained pliable. Manufactured in Japan by Lego ©1966 NPP Inc. Batman has remnants of "Lego" foil sticker underneath base, Robin has complete sticker. Robin bank shows him removing mask and is much scarcer than Batman. One of the few figural Robin items to show him without a mask. Batman has tiny paint flakes off of trunks as produced, o/w banks are Mint as packaged. Come in original boxes, banks were usually sold loose as boxes were plain and featured no graphics. Each box has original "Made In Japan" label on underside noting styles #3686 and #3687. Boxes have handling wear and are Fine. Scarce as pair. From the Craig Warren Collection.
