Item Description
7x16x2" deep box. Image of Roy on top and two side panels. Below Roy's image on top reads "King Of Cowboys." Additional text on top reads "50 Shot Repeater Pistol Shoots And Puffs Smoke." End of lid adds "Manufactured By Leslie-Henry Co. Inc., New York/Made In U.S.A." Dark blue lid has three 1/8x1/8" areas of color loss o/w lid is Exc. Box holds 9" long two-piece cast metal cap gun that uses roll caps. Cast into each side is name "Roy Rogers." Black plastic grips have high relief of horse head. 3.25x5" spurs w/1.75" spinning 'stars.' Also included are two .75x8.25" leather straps w/Roy's name in red and each has 2" dia. silver luster accents w/gold luster embossed steer head on center of accent. Straps are used to hold spurs into place and are adjustable. This is the gold luster version of the gun and spurs. Box bottom has one split corner, insert is slightly concave from weight of gun. Items appear unused. Exc. as issued. Rare. 1950s. From the Hake collection.
