Item Description
9" tall tin litho toy comes in box with lid nicely illustrated on all sides. 1950s. Box has light trace of aging and edge wear with some faint crease lines, bottom end panel has a 1.5" corner tear. Box remains tight and bright. Complete with inserts and even has the small instruction paper. Box Fine. Toy depicts Popeye seated atop an oversized "Popeye Spinach" can. He holds a pipe in one hand. Popeye waves his right arm, moves his head, raises and lowers his pipe as it lights red and he blows smoke. All functions work great. Toy shows slightest aging with moderate amount of scattered pinpoint paint nicks. Appearance remains totally bright and glossy. VF. A rare and desirable battery toy.
