Item Description
4.75" tall wood box with paper labels. Latch on front activates pop-up figure of Donald mounted on a spring. Has painted composition head with fabric-covered body including felt bow tie plus plastic buttons. Height of toy to top of figure is 9.5". Paper label covering has repeated Donald Duck name and images of him including this toy plus company name "A Spear Product" and Disney copyright. 1940s. The white fabric that wraps around the coil spring has some scattered brown staining but this is only visible if viewed down into the box, does not affect appearance of pop-up figure. Head has some tiny scattered paint nicks. Figure VF. Outside of box has all-over noticeable tanning, some small moisture stains, inked name and date on top. Most of the .25" wide paper label strip missing along front edge of top, hinges on back have some oxidation. Box VG. Scarce.
