Item Description
24" long metal swatter with painted wood handle. ©1936. King Features Syndicated/US Mfg. Corp. Decatur, Ill. 2x3" triangular paper insert inside body of fly swatter shows illustration and name "Popeye." Stapled to swatter is 2.5x6" heavy paper folder with four fold-out panels. Each panel is designed to be cut out with base area to be folded back for displaying characters upright. Cut-out set No. 2. Includes: Popeye, Rough House, Oscar, Toar. Lot also includes 8.5x10.5" sales sheet. Illustration of product and store displays with text including "Teamed Up For Greater Sales! Popeye And U.S. Swatters." .25x1.5" uneven margin loss at lower left does not affect text or illustration. Paper clip stain remains at top. Otherwise sheet remains extremely bright, colorful and VF. Swatter insert and attached cut-outs show minimal aging. VF/Exc.
